remy's engagement...

Last weekend was one of the best times I've had in awhile. Its been ages since a group of us pilled up in a car and headed somewhere for a road trip. So when Remy's engagement came up, we all hopped on for the trip. Two cars went down on Friday, Dev's electric kelisa and my chubby baby with a total of 7 of us. The drive down was pretty quiet as there wasn't much traffic on the road. We maintained a speed of about 120kph and reached within 4 hours or so. Remy made arrangement for our housing and what a great choice it was. Its this place called The Zon which is on the channel between Johor and Singapore and somehow just that lil spot is considered duty free. Can imagine you imagine?? All the chocolates and liquor are duty free in that hotel! Sadly its not like Tioman or Langkawi where you can take out 1 liter if you stay overnight, unless of course you try to smuggle em' out.

Once we reached about 5pm we got ourselves cleaned up and headed downstairs to the lounge area. It was still Happy Hours (HH) till 8pm and we didn't have to go anywhere till about 9pm for Remy's birthday party. We got a shock when we checked out the pricing. One pint of draught Guiness Stout is only RM10 and you get another free during HH. A jug of draught Tiger is only RM33 with another free as well. OMFG! Can you imagine?! Its like we died and gone to heaven. I had about 2 and half pints before it was time to bounce. At the party was another shocker, there were like 3 bottles of Chivas waiting to be consumed. I really felt like I was in Wonderland. The drinks just kept coming and coming. On top of that we had some nice tidbits to take it all down with. Some deep fried pork and chicken nuggets plus deep fried taufoo. What a great combination. The night ended around 3am, which we sneaked out as we gotta be up by 9ish for Remy's engagement ceremony.

The next morning we got up around 10ish and rushed to the ceremony in a nearby Gurdwara. It was the first time for me stepping into one plus also the first time we got to see Remy actually wearing a turban. Not a bad sight I must add. It was an interesting experience. After the ceremony ended, we left for the hotel. Sadly I should have stayed because I could have tasted some good chappati and dhal. Sigh. Maybe next time. At the hotel, some of us took the oppurtunity to catch some winks before the night ceremony while the other half went down to the lobby to continue on their liquid diet. I couldn't join em because whatever I took kept coming out. Must have been all that liquid gold from the night before. Wasted because it was too cheap to miss. Sigh.

At about 5ish we all got washed and dressed up and headed to the night ceremony. It was held at this civil hall or something near Danka Bay. It was a nice simple gathering. I tell you, one thing about Sikhs, when they have a party, its all about the booze. For that night alone there were about 8 barrels of Tiger plus god only knows how many bottles of whiskey. From Chivas to Dimples. Dev told me that they had stacks of it in Remy's 'future' father in law's car. OMG. And these people can drink. There were only about 150 ppl, out of which maybe 50 odd men. From that I would say about 70% were drinking. One after another. Cheering and gulping. It was like a booze orgy. We just couldn't take the onslaught. Felt like amateurs man. I mean Dev, Jam, Vick and myself are pretty good drinkers, but somehow, compared to these folks. Sheesh. We were like high skool kids sneaking out a can of beer for kicks. Sadly we had to sneak out of this one as well. Real early too. By about 9ish we were outta there. We just couldn't take the pressure. We reached out hotel about 20 minutes later and retired to our rooms. Think Dev and Vick knocked out cold while our room (which had 4 bachelors) were playing around in the room. Think the room finally got quiet about midnight.

On Sunday we woke up about 9ish for breakfast. Then got cleaned and packed and checked out. We got ourselves some chocolates and ciggies for the smokers (stashed them in the seat tray to avoid the customs) and rolled out. We manage to get out without any problems. Think Dev even managed to smuggle out a bottle of whiskey. I didn't want to take the risk. It would've cost more if we got caught plus I think I had enuff of liquor after the last 2 nights. Before we headed back to Pee Jay we stopped over at Danka Bay. A so so place to hangout with multiple food cafes by the bay. Food wasn't much to shout about but it did its job. We filled our tummies and got on our way. Now the drive back was pretty interesting. We managed to reach PJ from Johor in about 3 hours. And this is with stopping at a rest stop and having some Baskin Robbins ice cream (which was real yummy!). There were tonnes of cars flying down and we just tailed em. Had fun bullying some arseholes who just didn't know how to drive. Think they own a SUV or Beemer they can do whatever they want. We showed em, or at least irritated the hell outta em. LOL.

All and all it was a great road trip. Remy and his friends were great hosts and the supply of booze was more than we could bargain for. Good food (and drinks!), good friends and a good time. Can't wait till the next time. Hmmm Remy, whens the wedding? ;)

good to be home...

Ahh just got back from Johor after spending about 2 nights there. Will blog about it more once rested. Hopefully with pictures as well. It was a great trip and the hotel we stayed in was amazing. Miss the duty free drinks and chocos. Wouldn't mind a cold pint of stout now. =)

bummer...

Sigh. What a fucked up week it has been. The weekend started off ok with a good game of futsal but after that it was downhill all the way. Am still trying to recuperate from it. Bought some rojak in SS2 (which I eat quite often) and it fucked my body up real bad. Within 2 hours I was vomitting, purging and the worse part, suffering a splitting migraine. Don't ask me how you can get a headache with food poisoning but the doc says you can and I was going through that shit. Its the worse food poisoning bout I have ever experienced. The vomitting stop after I got an injection from the doc since oral meds just didn't work. I vomitted anything I took in, from water to bread to biscuits. Purging came on and off which didn't bother me much but the headache. Hotdamn! Bitch is still tormenting me. The amount of panadols and pain killers I've had so far, I think just sipping my blood can cure minor headaches. Lucky it seems to be very slight now which is a huge blessing. Hope by tommorrow it'll be all gone since I'll be heading for one of my mate's engagement in Johor. Plus I'm also one of the designated cars so I can't really sleep through the ride. Wish me luck folks.

Surprisingly, the only good thing out of all this mess? I lost 2 kilos. Yup. I guess its common since I usually lose weight after a food poisoning bout. Hmmm maybe I can start my own weight loss program. Hmmm, what should I call it?

mobile gaming nigga...

Woo Hoo. I finally got it. I just picked up my very own Sony PSP. A black, shiny and sleek powderful gaming machine. OMG I can't wait to get home and play it. Sadly I bought it like an hour or so before work starts so I haven't even had the chance to charge it. Its still nicely wrapped and sitting on my bed. I feel like a freaking kid before Christmas morning. Even got myself a second hand game about an hour earlier. Now I have 2 games to meddle around with, Fifa 2006 and SSX On Tour. I know I know all sporty games but I just got the damn thing. Gimme some time to scout around. I actually want Daxter which is a great adventure game but sadly no second hand units out there. Patience is the key. Wait for someone else to get bored with it and sell it off. Hehe. Thats the only way to survive with PSP since we are forced to play original games.

Sigh. The damn time is moving so slow. Tick tock tick tock. I got like an hour and 5 minutes more. Arrggghhh. I can't take this!!

delayed post: krabi and phuket...

Sorry for the delay folks. Was caught up in a few things and forgot about updating my time in Phuket, Thailand. Not really much to say since we didn't spend that many days there. Spent half a day at Krabi and then moved on to Phuket where we spent about 1 and a half days. Krabi is province in south of Thailand at the shore of the Andaman Sea. Not really sure how far it is from Phuket but it took the ship about 2 hours or so. As Krabi did not have a proper port/dock, we actually anchored a kilometer or so off the beach. From there the ship arranged fisherman boats to take passengers to a few locations. Since it was a short trip, I opted for a ride to Poda Island which is off Krabi for some beach bumming. I was very pleased with my choice as Poda Island is simply breathtaking. Its a small island very near Krabi. There is nothing there except a small wooden restaurant and nature. What more could you ask for. We went very early (9am) as well so the island was deserted. Sadly at about noon the boats with tourists started coming in and the calmness gone. Before that however we had a great time bumming around. The sand was nice and soft and the water crystal blue. It was great for snorkelling but we didn't have any gear. No worries though as you could see the fish as you walked along the shore or swam. I really miss the calmness I felt on that island. Sigh. If only we had something like that off Malaysia.

After about 7 hours or so in Krabi the ship continued its way to Phuket. We reached their deep sea port around 7pm or so. After having a good dinner at the ship we followed some of the passengers on a trip to Patong Beach which was supposed to be the best place in Phuket for night life and shopping. Its also one of the major places that was hit by the tsunami recently but when you go there now you wouldn't even realise it. Everything is all cleaned up and back to normal. The only signs would be the tsunami evacuation notices and the dumb tsunami photos and shirts sold by the traders. Now the shopping isn't much to shout about as whatever pirated stuff they had there was cheaper in Malaysia anyways. The night life was pretty interesting I guess. Not what you would expect but it works. They had this street with about 200 odd bars side by side. The bars were little small ones with a bar table, some barstools, some tables and chairs and not to mention some Thai ladies to please the men. All the bars were practically the same and they seem to do pretty well. Patong Beach was a let down of sorts because it was too touristy plus not to mention sleazy. I guess it would've been better if I went with my mates instead. One thing I did like about Patong were the massages. Oooh la la and they were pretty cheap as well. Had some good massages there. Both that night and the next evening. We headed back to ship about midnite or so. Wish we could've stayed longer as things picked up as it got late but the ship was like 40 minutes from Patong.

The next morning we joined another tour arranged by the cruise. This time it was to an elephant safari, followed by Wang Talang (which is a famous precious stones outlet) and Wat Chalong (one of the most famous temples in Thailand), then some Thai buffet lunch, before heading back to Patong for a couple of hours. Out of which we only enjoyed the elephant safari, the temple and lunch. It was a great experience riding an elephant up and down rough terrain. For such a huge beast they are really agile and tough yet give out a nice fuzzy feeling. Its nice to see how Thai people especially the mahouts taking care and respecting the elephants. After the elephant safari we headed out to Wang Talang. This was a waste of time unless of course you were looking for some precious stones. We spent like 30 minutes there and headed to have our lunch. This was another highlight as the buffet setup was amazing. I've never seen so many selections before and majority of them were of yummy. There were japanese, chinese, indian, western and god knows what other cuisines layed out. Most of us took the oppurtunity to stuff ourselves silly especially after the exhaustion from the elephant ride and heat. After stuffing our faces we headed to Wat Chalong. This temple is known to be touristy as its the most biggest and ornate monastery around. I must say the architecture is really beautiful not to mention the tonnes of lovely Buddha statues inside. Would have enjoyed that part of the trip more if the weather was cooler but it was just too hot to hang about. Plus we only had like 30 minutes or so. Nothing much to blog after the temple though as Patong in the day is worse than at night. Its just meant for shopaholics. Nevertheless I did take the oppurtunity to enjoy another round of massage. Hehe. Nothing like a good rub down. ;)

All and all I enjoyed my short stint at Thailand. Although I think I would have enjoyed Pattaya or Bangkok more. Maybe next time for a full vacation and not via a cruise. More time on land then. Alrighty, time to have my beauty sleep. Gotta wake up early tommorrow to get hold of my PSP! Below are some pictures we took in Thailand. Gd'nite...

i want my psp!

Arrggghh. Suddenly I have this huge craving/urgency to get my hands on a PSP. Not really sure why and how it came about but I need one!!! Thankfully I have the budget for it but what model to get is pissing me off. Do I get parallel imports or Sony Malaysia models? Do I get version 1.5 or the latest 2.6? Does it even matter? Sigh. Decisions decisions. Parallel imports sounds good because I can save about RM200 but these don't come with a warranty. So if my arse luck kicks in (like usual), I'll be stuck with a dead unit in no time. The Sony Malaysia ones are protected but these models are much more expensive as well as made in China. So the quality is a lil' on the down side. Then there is the firmware versions. If I wanna play free games I gotta get the 1.5v but that is like buying a diamond. Its extremely rare and the price has even reached that of a Sony Malaysia unit. Theres also the problem of not being able to play some of the latest games. Sigh. What to do?! What to do?!

cruisin'...

I know I know its been awhile. Sorry la been too busy after getting back to post about it. As the few of you (actually just 3 but a few sounds bigger) who read my blog knows, I recently got back from a 5 nights cruise via StarCruises onboard their Superstar Gemini with someone special. Unlike most Star Cruises, this was via Port Klang (instead of Singapore) and it went up Straits of Malacca stopping along the way in Langkawi, Krabi, Phuket (the main destination) and Penang. Not going to blog about Langkawi and Penang since I've been there and done that and it wasn't much to shout about. Plus due to the heat I didn't even get down at Penang. Did get off at Langkawi though as the option of getting two duty free 1 liter bottles of liquid gold (whiskey) was hard to pass. ;)

Let me start off by talking about the ship. This was the first time I went on a cruise and I must say its a wonderful way to travel and spend your vacation. Not much thinking is needed as the majority of your time is on the boat. Great for relaxing and pigging out. Sadly the cost would deter most. The experience of being in the open ocean and enjoying the breeze is something not to be missed. Especially when you can sit out on the deck, enjoy your dinner with some drinks and stare into the darkness. You can't really put it in words. The ship I was on was rather small compared to most cruise ships. I think it holds about 800 passengers. Which is a good thing as the passenger to staff ratio was smaller. This in turn made things very friendly. The Superstar Gemini had a very nice family vibe going and they made you feel like one of them. The staff on our ship comprised of people from 20 nations. Majority being Fillipinos. The bridge crew of course were mostly Scandinavians. Guests are mostly from Australia and New Zealand. Only like 5% were from Singapore or Malaysia. This is good as I find most Asians too shy/private and that would make situations akward and boring. The Aussies made it more friendly and cheerful although some of them do get out of hand after a few drinks and you wish you could slap them across the face. =)

Most would expect the ship to feel claustrophobic, stuffy and swaying about but surprising its not. First its not shaky at all, not once did I feel woozy. Plus they make very good use of the space. All major locations (dining area, the lounge & theater) were very spacious and comfy. The rooms were not bad either. They used mirrors to make everything seem wider. To cut cost I opted for a inside stateroom (windowless) and it wasn't that bad. Only downside for not having a window is I didn't know when it was morning or night. Hehe. Since I was on a holiday it didn't really matter actually plus I had my trusty mobile to remind me. Maybe next time when I strike it rich I'll get a balcony room. I'm sure that would be so much better. Imagine having breakfast or some drinks at the balcony looking out to sea. Peaceful and serene. The rooms all have similar amenities. Theres a TV with about 5 channels, a writing table, closet, personal AC control, multiple lights to set the mood, bath robes, ice bucket, cups, kettle and a daily supply of mineral water, coffee packets and tea bags. All the linen and towels were of top quality. Even the loo had very good water pressure and temperature. All to make your stay as comfortable as can be.

Now lets get down to the most important part, FOOD! *Droool* I still crave for some of the goodies I had on the ship. Everytime I went for a meal there was something to binge over. From something as simple as fruits (which were always fresh and sweet) to baked mousakka. Everything was freshly made and extremely tasty. They also provide a good variety of breads. Something I really miss during my days in US. Plus the desserts. OMG. There is always about 8 varieties of something sweet, colorful, creamy or moist. Their tiramisu is simply to die for I tell ya! The only downside were the drinks. Only water, tea and coffee was complimentary while cocktails, juices, mocktails or beer need to be purchased. Now that wouldn't be bad if they actually sold them at market price or duty free (being on international waters and all) but NOOOO. They actually charge almost 2 to 3 times more. Arrrgghh. Captive market my ass. That was the only let down from the whole cruise and due to being on a strict budget it can really hamper ones mood.

Being on a ship to many can be really boring. Which I would agree unless of course you are going with a bunch of mates or with someone special. Its NEVER for going solo and don't really hope to pick someone up. The ship however does try to organise activities practically every hour except from 2am to 6am, whereby you're expected to be asleep of course. Now the activities can be a toss. Some people might find it fun while others would think 'Huh?'. Now I say this because I felt that way. LOL. Events like line dancing, sudoku challenge, bingo and karoake don't really rock my boat. I did however enjoy the movies shown at night as well as the stage shows held. If you're a health freak theres always the gym and swimming pool. Plus if you walk around the mid deck 5 times it would equate to 1 mile. Which isn't all that bad. Theres also a library with a pretty decent collection of novels and 2 desktops where you can get online (at a price of course). If you have money to spare you could always head to the spa. Which I bet would be lovely.

Yaaawwn. I think I've crapped enuff about the cruise and its getting pretty late. Gotta wake up for work tommorrow. I'll blog more about Thailand when I get the chance. I'll leave you with some pictures taken while on the ship. Gd'nite folks!

finally!!

Wah woke up to some great news today. I finally received my returns from the the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) for year 2004. Feels like getting a mini bonus. Hehe. Sadly after calculating last year's tax, looks like I owe them as much as they just paid me. Arrrgghh. The agony. Where got fair like that?! Waaaaaaaa....

sigh...

Sigh. What a miserable Sunday this has been. All must have started last night when we had some sup kambing for supper. Slept around 4am. All hell broke lose when I woke up around 9am. Started purging. That followed by vomitting. Whatever I had last night came out. This continued on for hours till everything calmed down. Tried my best to sleep through it all. Its a bit more calm now but I can still feel my tummy churning. Think I'm gonna avoid the sup kambing for awhile. Wasted a whole day because of it.

Worse thing out of all this is I missed my uni mate's wedding lunch. Was looking forward to it as I would have gotten the chance to catch up with my other uni mates. Sigh. Feel really bad. Think I better hit the sack now. Still don't feel good. G'nite all.

another yoke...

LOL. Got it via email. Not sure who the author is. Enjoy...

An old Arab lived close to New York City for more than 40 years. One day he decided that he would love to plant potatoes and herbs in his garden, but he knew he was alone and too old and weak. His son was in college in Paris, so the old man sent him an e-mail explaining the problem:
"Beloved son, I am very sad, because I can't plant potatoes in my garden. I am sure, if only you were here, that you would help me and dig up the garden for me. I love you, your father."
The following day, the old man received a response e-mail from his son: "Beloved father, please don't touch the garden. That is where I have hidden 'the THING.' I love you, too, Ahmed."
At 4pm the FBI and Homeland Security visited the house of the old man and took the whole garden apart, searching every inch. But they couldn't find anything. Disappointed, they left the house.
The next day, the old man received another e-mail from his son: "Beloved father, I hope the garden is dug up by now and you can plant your potatoes. That is all I could do for you from here. Your loving son, Ahmed."

benefits of being chinese...

Something funny I received via email. Check it out.

Pull the corner of your eyes and you'll be able to read it. LOL.

ahhh dorm life...

Got this via email earlier. Really cracked me up. Nothing like being direct huh. Nip it in the butt as they say. LOL.

On a side note, Ash Wednesday was yesterday and a buddy of mine was telling me what he wanted to sacrifice for the next 40 days. First it was no meat, then abstain from sex and lastly he says no 'hand putting'. LOL. I'm sure most of you would have guessed what it means but to those that don't, he meant masturbation. It cracked me up I tell you. Imagine a almost 30 year old telling you he ain't gonna 'hand putting' for awhile. LOL.

up again?!

Sigh. The petrol price has gone up again. This time at a rate of 18.5% or 30 cents. Now its gonna cost a RM1.92 per liter which would mean about RM10 to RM15 extra per full tank for me. I knew it would go up to RM2 but did not expect it to happen so soon and that big a jump as well. Thought they would do it gradually. Guess the idea is to shock the public one shot and let it die down instead of doing it periodically. This way the goverment avoids constant animosity. Problem is this hike is going to cause a chain reaction whereby everything else will go up in price. From food to clothing to services. Sigh. My RM1 roti bakar is gonna be RM1.20 and my good ole Nescafe Ais might reach RM1.80. Arrggh. I'll be paying Sri Hartamas prices in a Seksyen 8 or SS2 mamak. God only knows what the prices in Sri Hartmas or Bangsar would be like.

It was funny about some of the complaints I read about in the newspaper today. One dude complained about paying more for his V-Power. Why not use regular la?! You want higher grade you pay for it right. Not like us regular folks are not affected as well. At least he can drop down a grade, where do we go?! Most cars can't even take Ron92 and not many petrol stations even have it anymore. Sigh. Some of my colleagues and friends have talked about car pooling or cycling to work. Public transport is a no no for most as we work UK and US hours. Sadly all this grumbling and mumbling will die down in about a weeks time. Before you know it everything is back to normal. It has happened every other time the petrol price went up so whats the difference now. Thank god I have a 1.3 liter car with a petrol consumption of anywhere between 11km to 15k per liter. Phew. Pity my mates who have GTIs and higher CC cars. They will be counting every single km they take. LOL.

One thing I found funny yesterday was one of my colleagues thought that the higher gear you reach in your car, the more petrol you consume. So he wanted to actually just use the first 3 gears and skip the other 2. LOL. Can you believe that?! Ignorance sure is bliss! Told the fella that he needed to reach the highest gear as fast as possible to lower his fuel consumption. To top that alot of my other colleagues didn't even know you could skip gears. They thought you need to go up accordingly. LOL. Funny la some people. Still can't stop laughing from it. Clowns.

glory glory man united!

Woo Hoo! Finally a trophy. Phew. Its been like ages since we last won something. I'm sure Fergie was shitting bricks till the game was considered signed and sealed. Pity Wigan though as they lost their number 1 goalie so early in the game which most probably changed everything. Oh well, a win is a win nonetheless. Would prefer an FA Cup or League trophy but I guess beggars can't be choosers right. Hopefully next season Fergie would have brought in some new blood especially in the midfield and defense region. Someone like Frank Lampard or Steven Gerrard would be great in the center and maybe Terry or Hyypia in defense.

Anyways I'm happy we at least have something in the bag. =)

review: brokeback mountain...

I just got back from my Singapore trip and before I left I managed to catch Brokeback Mountain. I doubt it will ever be released in Malaysia legally due to 2 major reasons. Firstly its a gay love story which is a big no no in Malaysia. The 2nd reason is our great censors would have so much to chop up that we will only end up with 30 minutes or so and which cinema is going to show that?! Anyways if ever it did make it to Malaysia, I think the title's translation in BM would be either 'Gunung Belakang Sudah Pecah' or 'Gunung Belakang Pokai'. Hehe.

Now back to the review. After watching this movie, I felt rather disturbed. Actually I felt it right around 20 minutes into the show. Now don't get me wrong as I'm not a homophobe but somehow I just couldn't accept the idea. I know its common nowadays and there are more and more open gays out there, but I guess seeing it all the action in the open is too freaky for me. I do have to admit that as a movie, Brokeback Mountain is a gem. From the acting right down to the directing. I hope Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Williams and Ang Lee win their upcoming Oscar nominations. For Heath and Jake to potray something so difficult and to pull it off so effortlessly is a great achievement. Storywise its not as great as the hype but considering its the first (correct me if I'm wrong) blockbuster gay movie out there, its bound to be sensational. Its surprising that of all directors around, Ang Lee would be the one to pull this off. My hats off to him.

The storyline is about the troubles, confusion and heartache a gay couple faces during the 60s. From hiding the truth from the rest of their world to secretly meeting up just to be together. The story follows their life for 20 years whereby they get married, they get children, one of their spouse catches them smooching, their multiple secret rendezvous on a mountain in Wyoming (although movie shot in Canada) and towards the end where one of them gets beaten to death. Apart from the freaky love affair they share its sad to see the shit they go through especially how it all ends.

I would advise for serious movie buffs to catch this movie. Some of you might not be able to stomach it but its something worth experiencing. To those that have seen it, please hit me back with your comments. I'm interested to see how you perceive this movie. Cheers.

good ole seminars...

Whoopie its been awhile but I finally got sent to another seminar. A nice 2 day break away from work without any emails to reply, calls to make or colleagues to contend with. Plus this time around its on a topic I am really interested in. Something in line with my work. Its on 'Essential Skills and Knowledge for Effective Call Center Management' and is conducted by someone who I must say is very knowledgable, experienced and passionate about the material. So I was all ears and am enjoying it immensely. Plus the food isn't all that bad either. Hehe.

In my experience a seminar's quality is closely related to the speaker. The material could be perfect but if it was not presented well it would come out to be total rubbish. Not to mention how agonisingly slow the hours would go by. I still do have to admit that no matter how good the material, it is tough trying to stay awake and keep track. Besides the constant bombardment of information, I have to also contend with the weird hours. I'm usually going to sleep only at 4am and wake up around noon but this time I have to be at the seminar by 9am. So you can imagine the battle my body is having trying to cope with the sudden flip.

Tommorrow I'll have another days worth before I head back to work on Thursday. Good thing is I'm off on Friday and will be heading down to Singapore to visit a dear friend of mine, Poopie. Can't wait. Think the last time I saw her was about a year plus. Back when I still had Betty. Hopefully the weather will be nice and sunny over the weekend and not like how it has been here. The heat and rain is really frustrating. Makes it very much harder to sleep as well. Keep waking up all sweaty.

Alrighty then, think I better hit the sack. Gotta wake up at 7am tommorrow to be on time for the training. *Yaaawn* Gd' night folks and have a great weekend!

it sux to lose!

Arrggghh. Just got back from the friendly I mentioned earlier and we LOST! Losing is one thing but this was pretty bad. Think the scoreline was 10 to 20 something. Sigh. This is sad, really sad. We really need to buck up or at least play more often. The guys that played against us do it weekly while we do it once in a blue moon. I know I know it ain't a reason to lose. Damn frustrating I tell ya. We gotta get out act together and reinvite them for another friendly. This can't happen. NOOOOOOO. We don't lose. LOL.

First the Red Devils go down and now us. I can't take it. Not 2 losses in a day. This is too much to handle. Dammit I need a drink!!

sad sad day...

Sigh. What a sad night it is. Liverpool managed to tuck the only goal in and won the match. To make things worse Peter Crouch was the scorer. He is the tallest (i think) dude in English Premier League and sucks as being a striker. Arrggghh. The Red Devils were really playing bad. The defending was atrocious and the midfield had no flare. Nothing was being pumped up to give a striking chance. God only knows why Fletcher was kept on the field. He should have been out from the start of the 2nd half. Saha came in and made some difference but there wasn't anything being pumped up for him to even try.

To top of the misery, Alan Smith suffered a very agonizing injury. He fell onto his own leg which broke his leg and dislocated his ankle just before the end of the game. Ouch. Even I felt it just watching it happen. He was carried off on a stretcher and needed oxygen. News is he will be back but will be out for 8 months plus. Its a pity as he was vying for the World Cup call and he really deserves it. Hope he recovers well.

Sigh. Think I'm just gonna hit the sack. Got a friendly match of futsal tommorrow and hopefully we will be able to win that. You guys have a good night. Poopshoot out.

ahh vacation...

Ahhh after a long while I get to go on a nice break. Not that long but at least a week and a half. Got about 2 weeks more. Guess where to? Well finally I'm going on a cruise. Its a 5 night trip on Superstar Gemini along the Straits of Malacca. Cruise starts off at Port Klang to Langkawi, followed by Krabi and 2 nights in Phuket Island before heading back to Port Klang with a stopover at Penang. Should be an interesting trip. Hopefully I'll be able to absorb enuff of Thailand as I doubt I'll head there again anytime soon. I'm really dying to catch a Tiger Show but I heard they are now illegal. Sigh. And when I say Tiger Show I mean those shows where Thai women do all sorts of weird stuff with their genitalia. I know its gross but somehow I'm still curious especially hearing all sorts of stories about their 'skills' from various people. You don't see someone opening a bottle of coke with their vagina everyday now do you?!

One thing I know I can't miss are the cabaret shows done by Thai Ladyboys. Heard its pretty popular and well advertised by the tourism board. No harm in checking it out I guess as long as I don't get picked up by any weirdos. LOL. I know I know, who the hell would want to pick me up. But you never know right. Also I gotta make sure I try dem tasty fried insects. An old mate of mind had some and he said it ain't all that bad. A bit like eating cracklings or chips. Only drawback would be the shells getting stuck in between ya teeth. Maybe I'll bring my floss with me this time. LOL.

Damn I'm so excited about this. Feeling all jumpy and shit. La Di Da Di Da. Alrighty, better stop gleaming and get back on track. Still got 2 more weeks to slog through before I'm off. You guys take care and have a good weekend!

i'm on fire baby!!!

Damn what a great session of ping pong it was earlier. Went through about 9 games without losing any of em. Played 2 of my colleagues whom I usually lose to every now and then. This time I was on FIRE. Even when I was down 15 to 20 I could still manage to come back and win the game. Its a good feeling I tell ya. LOL. Great workout too. Hopefully this keeps up and not just a one off thing. Hmm maybe I am improving in my ping pong skills. Doubt it but better to think positive than to say it was luck right. Muahahaha. It sure is nice to win. =)
